Day 27: My Day in South Dakota

600 miles
15.3 mpg
11 hours driving
$22 Union Grove State Park, SD

Went to bed in beautiful Wyoming

Wyoming was gorgeous. Skies so clear you think you can touch the clouds. Heavenly light and sunsets. But now it was time to see South Dakota!

As in Wyoming, virtually all on- and off-ramps in South Dakota have cattle guards. At least on I-90. Makes braking with a trailer really fun.,,

No trip to SD would be complete without a trip to Wall Drug.

Then, Murdo’s “Pioneer Auto Musem”

As the sun was setting, I pulled into Union Grove State Park, south of Sioux Falls, SD. I had low expectations. State parks are hit or miss. This was a hit. On a hill (one of the few) with well-groomed electric-hookup sites with views.

And the bathrooms are practically spa-like. Look for pictures tomorrow.
